Hi, I am Michelle.
a Charlotte creative, therapist, mom, and coffee/bread enthusiast.
I'm also the owner of Limoncito Goods, and I'm excited to launch "The Squeeze," a creative wellness craft club where we'll explore the powerful connections between wellness, art, and community in Charlotte.
Think of it as a digital gathering space (with some in person events) for those seeking to nurture their minds and spirits through creative expression. As a therapist and artist, I believe deeply in the transformative power of art to nurture mental well-being and I am so excited to explore these spaces alongside our beautiful city.
My Why:
The Squeeze was born from my own personal journey with anxiety. Like many, I experienced a period of intense overwhelm and panic attacks in 2020. I felt "squeezed" by the weight of it all. My therapist encouraged me to reclaim my story through art, which led to the creation of my small business- Limoncito Goods.
As I’ve grown I realized that art, in all its forms, plays a similar role for many of us. In my work as a therapist in Charlotte, I've seen firsthand how art provides refuge and support for individuals.
"The Squeeze" is an extension of this belief. It's a creative wellness craft club where we can collectively explore:
Our own "squeeze" moments: Those times of intense pressure, anxiety, or feeling overwhelmed.
The power of art as a coping mechanism: How creativity can help us navigate challenges and build resilience.
Community and connection: How shared creative experiences can foster a sense of belonging and support.
I believe that by nurturing our creative spirit, we can cultivate greater self-awareness, reduce stress, and build a stronger sense of well-being within ourselves and within our community.
